What is most remarkable about this book aimed at middle school readers is how informative it is. Effects of colonization, sacred & contemporary approaches to dance & drumming, etiquette for visitors & many other cultural aspects are covered. Glossary too. #Indigenous
While the content of this book goes far beyond the aesthetics of powwow culture, there‘s no denying the visual appeal of dance regalia.
