The plot is filled with twists and turns but the true guilty party was evident to us much sooner than it was to those in the book. I really enjoyed the way the reveal played out. The author‘s detailed descriptions put me right there in the moment.

I can‘t believe that this is the 14th book and the series and I love them just as much now as I did in the beginning!!! I can‘t get enough of the characters and the setting and it always makes me want coffee and a pastry! Looking forward to number 15!

Hard to believe this is #14 in the Bakeshop Mystery series. This one centers around Jules & the Torte team doing the food & chocolate sculpture for the local art museum (SOMA) in Ashland‘s the reveal of Shakespeare‘s Lost Pages: Double Falsehood. The rare piece goes missing at the gala, murder follows & Jules is on the case. I enjoy this series & the characters & the Shakespeare details along with the delicious food & pastry make for a fun read.

I really, really, really adore this series; it just keeps getting better and better! The mystery was fun and intriguing, but what I really love is all the talk about the food and the drinks. And the gorgeous descriptions of Ashland. And the bits of Shakespeare. And all the characters. So basics, everything.
