pickI‘ve been following this series since before the first book was published. Back when it all started, Ty and Daniel assured me that they would stick the landing. They even knew what the last line would be. After thirteen years and nine books, I have to say: I think they did it.

pickAbout ten years ago I read Leviathan Wakes, the first in this series. I did not keep up with the subsequent books, but I kept thinking about the characters from the first book. This year the hosts of the podcast Book Reviews Kill decided to read the series. I decided it was time to tackle it as well. Nine books, all of them over 500 pages, and I finished! I loved each book, and I will miss the Rocinate crew!
Short break between the 2 jobs. And a little sad that this will be my last time visiting the Rocinante.
pickA great ending to an exceptional sci-fi series! I am happy that all the storylines got resolved in a satisfactory way, but I am indeed sad to say goodbye to the Rocinante's crew.

pickThis is the last installment and it is time. That‘s not a criticism, but more of an observation that the writers have truly crafted a story arc that brings back all the favs- and with a blockbuster ending that is really the only realistic way the story could end. I‘m sad but satisfied that this roller coaster of a series has come to an end.
pickI‘ll be honest, I wasn‘t totally satisfied with this ending. Still, the book feels authentic to the series. It manages to wrap up a lot of different plot threads, and there are some heart-tugging moments littered throughout. This series will go down as one of the greats in science-fiction.
Oh, my emotions have been through the wringer, and I have a feeling there is a fair bit more of that to come. Also I am loving it and don't want it to end. I hope they stick the landing.
First book of the new year. And may have plenty of time to read it. A friend I spent some of New Years Eve hanging out with tested positive for COVID on Saturday, despite being vaccinated. Made an appointment for a test for myself, also vaccinated, but couldn‘t get an appointment til this next weekend, no work until results likely.
pickA great ending to a complex series. There's a dozen or more thoughts, of course, but they're all spoilers and really, after this ending, some of us are compelled to keep them to ourselves, safe from the hive mind... Anyway, I'm a satisfied fan and am looking forward to a series reread soon.
pickI love this final book in The Expanse series--it really delivered, providing closure for both storylines and characters. It is sad to see it end, but what a ride! I especially loved the epigraph. So perfect! Now I can finally watch the final season of the TV series--it's at a much earlier point in the story, but I wanted to hold off until I'd finished the book.
pickBook 9 of The Expanse. The last installment in a brilliant series. A consistently high standard the whole way through. Now I guess I'll have to go back to Book 1 😆 So many great characters 😊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5
pickI had such high hopes. Maybe that was part of the problem. The Expanse is in my top 3 favorite series of all time, and the final book just didn't live up to my expectations. It wasn't terrible, but it was disappointing. A pick, but a low one.
