Detective Nathan King takes the offer from his fathers‘ partner, Todd Nichols to come to Washington, D.C. and work for him. Nathan hated leaving Sumter, but was excited for the chance to work at the same precinct as his dad, Jason King. Summer Rimpler is having personal problems and Nathan comes to Richmond to try and help his niece. Nathan is involved with several high-profile cases and on one he meets officer Katie Tatum.
