Finished earlier in the week. I read about this book in the back of Radar Girls by Sarah Ackerman & had it transferred to my local library branch from our main library. An informative & insightful look at the Women‘s Air Raid Defense (WARD) a civilian organization that operated from 1941-1945 in Hawaii providing air defense after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Worth seeking out & reading if you like WWII/women‘s history.

DebinHawaii @tpixie Yes, it‘s a fairly thin paperback published by the Arizona Memorial Museum back in the 90s. Not a lot of pages but good info! I‘m going to keep my eye out for a used copy to buy. 1y
