This book has so much wasted potential. The plot about the secret Mitford manuscript went nowhere. Katie was a big Nancy Mitford fan and wrote her thesis about her in college, but didn‘t know she‘d worked in a bookstore? I‘ve only read a few novels about her and one book, yet I knew that. Gable never brings Nancy to life, and I don‘t care for Katie. She‘s almost 40, yet her actions are those of a teenager. The narrator was fine and I did finish.
