Fran Lebowitz's response on essential services! 😁 This entire interview is pretty amusing in fact - https://www.newyorker.com/culture/the-new-yorker-interview/fran-lebowitz-is-neve...

batsy I was just thinking the same! Our lockdown has been extended for another two weeks and I'm fantasising that bookshops will be allowed to open. But then I thought the same thing about how I touch books... 😆 5y
Tanisha_A @batsy 😁 I can totally understand the itch of visiting a bookstore. And how can we not touch every book while we are there - we are definitely not the right customers at this time! 5y

I love sleep because it is both pleasant and safe to use. Pleasant because one is in the best possible company and safe because sleep is the consummate protection against the unseemliness that is the invariable consequence of being awake. What you don't know won't hurt you. Sleep is death without the responsibility.
