The girl next to me in Yoga Class last night was bright red. When we were talking, she mentioned how she got her sunburn. "I found an organic, toxin free, chemical free, all natural sun screen. It didn't work."
I thank Penn and Teller for teaching me to avoid anti-science bullshit, whether it's right wing global warming denial, left wing anti-GMO bull, or generic anti "chemical" or anti-vax crap.
Don't go "chemical free" and get skin cancer!

Mayread Oh jeez. You can do chemical or physical ss. She probably didn't apply enough of the physical. You gotta coat that stuff on. But Japanese chemical ss is the best! ❤️ 8y

DreesReads When I was in junior high my mom insisted we finish the bottle of sunscreen before buying another, expiration dates be damned (they're a scam to make you throw money away!). And that was how I got the worst sunburn of my life. 8y

Procrastireader Key West is in the middle of a giant kerfuffle about releasing genetically sterilized male mosquitos to counteract aegypti infestation. The good citizens cannot grasp the science & are about to vote the program down. Re GMOs, I am =ly aggravated with the "what could possibly go wrongs" and the "???" crowd. 8y
