Outlaw: Ein Jack-Reacher-Roman | Lee Child
7 posts | 35 read | 16 to read
Jack Reacher ist 100% Adrenalin! Zwei gottverlassene Drfer in Colorado. Hope und Despair. Hoffnung und Verzweiflung. Dazwischen nichts weiter als meilenweit Niemandsland. Jack Reacher, per Anhalter unterwegs, strandet ausgerechnet in Despair.

This is such a bias review because at this stage I'm a fan, Lee Child can do no wrong and I'm here for whatever he writes.

Also Jack Reacher is far too loveable to criticise.

In this book we see Jack get kicked out of Dispair into Hope which kick starts his curiosity and adventure.

Had no idea where this was going but I was in safe hands. Lee Child always has a tight control of the plot and ties everything up nicely at the end.

Jack Reacher stops in the small town of Despair, Colorado for a bite to eat and quickly runs into his next mystery to uncover. He spends most of his time in the neighboring small town, Hope, while he works with the local deputy for some answers.

Today‘s hashtag made me think of the twin towns of Hope and Despair from Lee Child‘s excellent book Nothing to Lose in the Jack Reacher Series. The way my mind works it then brought to mind the village Pity Me in County Durham, England!

#smalltown Jack Reacher books often involve small towns. This one sticks in the mind for two small towns, named Hope and Despair (got to love those names), and something mysterious is going on in these towns. Obviously Jack Reacher can't ignore matters and jumps in with both feet. An excellent read from memory. Did give it 5 stars.

The name reminds me of the village in Durham called Pity Me!

Cinfhen I like when authors have a sense of humor🙃 8y
