Practicing Patience
Practicing Patience | Jennifer Law
2 posts | 1 read
There’s hardly ANYTHING worse in Gabe’s eyes than having to wait. Whether it’s waiting for classmates to get quiet enough to go to PE, or waiting for his turn in the lunch line, Gabe is just plain TIRED of waiting! But imagine Gabe’s surprise when his left shoe, Lefty, notices Gabe’s restlessness and in a small voice gives him tips on how to be patient. What was even more surprising was when his right shoe, Lacey, pipes in to explain why it’s important to practice patience – even when it’s hard. PreK – 5 students are sure to relate to Gabe’s struggles and find ways to use the tips to practice patience at school and at home.

Bookshelves painted and primed - just touchups and the inside of the murphy bed yet to paint. Now to wait 30 days for it to fully cure before I can fill these shelves. Patience is not something I have, so this is going to be a challenge! 🙃

tpixie It has turned out great! I didn‘t know about the 30 day cure issue! 12mo
CuriousG @tpixie it depends on the paint how long the cure time is. This participate one is 28 days so I'm rounding up to an even 30. I know of someone who paid a lot of money to get bookshelves done and didn't listen and only waited a few weeks, and now they are paying to have their new shelves refinished. 12mo

. It follows the typical pattern found in a Boys Town book. It presents a problem, tells you how to cope with the problem, and gives three examples of what could happen and what one could do. The lesson is fine, it works, but the story is way way way too long. I realize the books about practicing patience and waiting for the next thing but you have so many antsy pants in story time.
