Small haul from the town's yearly library book sale. I've never heard of either but they sounded interesting

I chose this book for no reason other than Jayne Entwistle narrates it. She is amazing. I had no idea what to expect when I borrowed this from the library. I was quickly overtaken by this exceptional YA retelling of Beauty and the Beast. McBride puts love on display in a beautiful way with Merit and Tevin. The writing is truly fantastic at a YA level. I adore this story. 100% underrated. I can't figure out how or why.

Curses is a lighthearted and fun twist on Beauty and the Beast. I really liked the author's writing style. It was easy to read and filled with humor. The characters were well developed and entertaining. It was a great story.

The gender swapped, fairy tale retelling of Beauty & the Beast that I didn't even know I so desperately needed. Merit is cursed to be a Beast forever, unless married before her next birthday. This was such a fun book, with an extremely likable cast of magical characters.
