Well I love Ellmann and helped get this published via Galleybeggar press but apparently kept saving this series of pandemic humorous essays for a “rainy day”. Finally picked it up on this sunny day and started it- first essay on those THINGS that are against us was so fun!

The essays in this collection focuses mainly on feminist issues and blame men for a lot of the wrongs in the world today, after all they have run things for awhile.
She also says her meaning about Trump on several occasions so if you‘re a fan, then maybe this isn‘t for you.

She also wrote this provocative book of short essays, a refreshing antidote if you're feeling sick of the world is on fire newsfeed and feel like screaming. Side-splitting rants spitting with fury about THINGS, Trump, America. I can only aspire to this level of hilarity and bitchiness.
pickEsther wants you to know that you will like this collection IF you have a hatred for misogyny, patriarchy, and anti feminism. The author has an acerbic wit, be prepared.
So excited to begin reading this one. I gave Ducks,Newburyport a PICK but not 5stars even though I was tremendously proud to have completed the behemoth AND it still delights/baffles me. I recommend to anyone to give it a go. And now I eagerly start this essay collection.
