I'm so glad Johnson decided to continue this series with stand-alone books; love the sharp writing and offbeat characters, but the cliffhangers were killing me. 😁

I‘m sure there will come a time when I get tired of this YA mystery series, but that time is not with this fourth book. I found the stand-alone incredibly satisfying taking the teenage detective Stevie digging into a 1970s murder at a summer camp. It‘s just a fun read all around! Plus it had me listening to Stevie Nicks and researching the fascinating, macabre work of Francis Glessner Lee.
Another library read! I read her trilogy and excited to dive into this
Today‘s Kashmiri recipe is noon chai, or pink salty tea. Mine didn‘t come out remotely pink, but it IS salty. Tasty, too.
Today‘s novel is THE BOX IN THE WOODS, Maureen Johnson‘s fourth Stevie Bell mystery. I like it as of 73%, but not as much as I liked the first three. Still, I‘m glad Johnson returned to these characters and I hope there‘ll be a fifth book.
I love this whole series! I think this was the last book but I hope she decides to write more. Such a satisfying mystery and awesome characters. Definitely start with Truly Devious and read all 4!
A good story but I didn‘t love this one as much as the rest of the series sadly, still intriguing though. 3.75/5 Read for the #Bookoplathon
I enjoyed listening to The Box in the Woods by Maureen Johnson. I was able to guess the individual who was responsible for certain events that happen within this audiobook, yet the reason why they did it was unexpected.
Teen mystery. Book 4 in the Truly Devious series. Completely new and different mystery than the 1st 3 books. Stevie solves the 1978 murder of 4 teens at a summer camp.
