Love Is Blind meets You've Got Mail in this laugh-out-loud romantic comedy following two thirty-somethings who meet on a blind dating app - only to realize that their online chemistry is nothing compared to their offline rivalry. 'The word charm is pretty much synonymous with Lauren Layne' Hypable 'Lauren Layne's books are as effervescent and delicious as a brunch mimosa. As soon as you read one, you're going to want another - IMMEDIATELY!' Karen Hawkins, New York Times bestselling author 'The queen of witty dialogue' Rachel Van Dyken, New York Times bestselling author 'Lauren Layne is a master at sexy banter and funny dialogue' BookPage Perpetually cheerful and eager to please, Gracie Cooper strives to make the best out of every situation. So when her father dies just five months after a lung cancer diagnosis, she sets aside her dreams of pursuing her passion for art to take over his Midtown Manhattan champagne shop. She soon finds out that the store's profit margins are being squeezed perilously tight, and complicating matters further, a giant corporation headed by the impossibly handsome, but irritatingly arrogant Sebastian Andrews is proposing a buyout to turn the store into a parking garage. But Gracie can't bear the thought of throwing away her father's dream like she did her own. Overwhelmed and not wanting to admit to her friends or family that she's having second thoughts about the shop, Gracie seeks advice and solace from someone she's never met - the faceless 'Sir', with whom she connected on a blind dating app where matches get to know each other through messages and common interests before exchanging real names or photos. But although Gracie finds herself slowly falling for Sir online, she has no idea she's already met him in real life...and they can't stand each other. Rave reviews for The Prenup! Finished in 1 sitting while my fiancé watched the Super Bowl in the background. A nice, lighthearted rom-com was exactly the kind of story I craved right before Valentine‘s Day!

Last review for now - in case you can't tell, I definitely prefer fluffy, feel-good reads when I am on vacation!!! This one totally fit the bill. I had a few quibbles with this one, but on the whole it was happy & entertaining - a fun take on The Shop Around the Corner.

I felt like this story was familiar. Then I realized I was getting some “You've Got Mail“ vibes. I adored the online correspondence between Sir and Lady.

Wowza!! What a fun modernization of The Little Shop Around The Corner/You‘ve Got Mail!! It made me laugh a ton and I just adored the lifelike characters and the fun of the NYC setting!! Such a cute and fun read- perfect for summer, or really any season!! I super-loved it thought this isn‘t my go-to genre! And if it was ever a movie, I know that my hugsband would really enjoy it!!

If you‘re a fan of “You‘ve Got Mail”, this one‘s for you. 😊 I must admit I was not aware of how many reincarnations there have been of this story, but thanks to the author‘s note, I am now. Funny, sweet, it was a fast read, and the entire cast of characters (both main and supporting) kept a smile on my face throughout. 😊 The epilogue was especially satisfying. All-around good read. This was my 2nd from Layne and looking forward to more. 4.25/5⭐️

Back to my ARCs. Starting this during Curbside duty. This one has a You've Got Mail type plot.
