pickGosh, I really love this series. With my whole entire heart. Sebastian and Hero are my favorite literary couple! The mystery was well plotted and the ending was kind of a shock! Was also a gold mine for word search words 😂. 15 points for team genre, 3130 word search points for a total of 3145 points for #TeamSlaughter. #scarathlon2022

pickMy favorite subgenre of fiction is the historical mystery category and I can count on one hand the series which consistently deliver every time. The Sebastian St Cyr series by C S Harris definitely qualifies. This 16th in the series is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read. If you look at each entry on Goodreads they all consistently rank a well deserved 4 stars and above. Basically I‘m in love with Sebastian. Read them and you will understand why!!!🤓

pickI look forward every year to a new Sebastian St. Cyr historical mystery, and this one‘s number 16. 😊 I could read Harris 24/7 and be happy. I missed a few of the regulars in this one, but the mysteries were top-notch centering around similar murders 3 years apart. Corruption, greed, power and revenge are rampant in the brewery/publican relations in London. A lot of this is based around fact, and Harris‘ research is always meticulous. Loved! 5/5⭐️
