A lovely little collection of essays from an heirloom tomato farmer. I could have done without the groundhog essays but enjoyed hearing about market, trips into the city and the work in the fields.

I do wish I had read it in the spring or summer when I could see my own tomato plants. I had to content myself with softly stroking all my canning from last year‘s crop instead.

Finished during #20in4

Prairiegirl_reading I got my seeds all ready to go already. I can‘t wait to get started. 🍅🍅🍅🍅 4y
janeycanuck @Prairiegirl_reading we‘ve never been able to get strong plants when we try seeds 😔 But happily, we have a great nursery nearby that stocks our favourite varieties! 4y
Prairiegirl_reading @janeycanuck we have a great nursery near by too. I buy from them every year and I‘ll use them for back up if things go south with my seeds. 😄 4y
