seriously tho. I NEED IT.
seriously tho. I NEED IT.
It is always interesting to peek inside a well known person‘s life before, during, and present climb to fame. But this is a story of East meets West in an authentic and dynamic manner. So exciting and it is written in a so real way including both magical and mis-step adventures. I am compelled to watch episodes of Quantico and Indian movies I have missed. She is a force! & so relatable. Loved it.
I came across this in Libby while scrolling nonfiction audios. I knew nothing of her other than she is married to Nick Jonas. She was a Miss India and Miss World. An actress. An ambassador for Unicef. A film director with her own company. Through her actions she tries to change things such as India's view on women and beauty. I learned many interesting things about Indian culture, like the many traditional things associated with weddings. ⬇️
She seems lovely & certainly has lived a charmed life. But this is a very surface level memoir that doesn‘t offer up much that a Google search wouldn‘t bring up. 🤷🏻♀️
Being a big fan of her's since childhood, I knew I would enjoy this. But I had no idea how much emotionally invested I was going to get with this one. Now that's a bit of a shock, a jolly good shock though.
I have loved Priyanka since her Bollywood days, and her memoir was beautiful and moving.

I‘ve been a fan of Priyanka‘s since Andaaz (around 2003) many years before she became famous in America with Quantico. I liked hearing her antics growing up, the backstory of film/TV projects etc. I just feel like she held back and didn‘t reveal much in general. She didn‘t address the rumors about her relationship with (married) Akshay Kumar and no backstory on Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (my fave movie of hers) maybe because he was in it. 😕
