Road trip things…decisions, decisions
Road trip things…decisions, decisions
3-8-24: My 5th book of 2024! Told in present day with one timeline from 25 years earlier, this is a story about neighbors lives intertwining when tragedy strikes. In a Georgian home in a suburb of London live 3 families. The Harlows on the top two floors, Emma and Zeb on the main floor and Vicky and Chris in the basement. When one of them goes missing they all somehow get involved. Told in many different voices this one caught me by surprise.
I love when a book throws me a curveball and I think I know or have guesses but I was so wrong..
Why I found this among two other books I had hidden from hubby on the dresser behind the tv.. forget that I bought it, sometimes I put things places and forget about it till I go organizing stuff.. must have been meant for me to find it and have it as my first read of the year, but o do remember why I bought it while I was in target, it was the cover that caught my eye.

This was an unexpectedly great read. I have had a hard time lately finding books in this genre that my true-crime drenched 🧠 does not pick apart into ruins. The characters were well developed, and the multiple storylines worked well, first separately, and then woven together in the end. I can't explain why the last star is only half without giving spoilers through opinion, so you'll just have to trust me and read it.😉
This book was a pleasant surprise! I hadn‘t heard much hype about it and it wasn‘t really on my radar. I came across it in my libraries audiobooks. It has a great cast of characters, multiple stories going on that all come together in the end and lots of twists and turns. A great book that sucked me in from the beginning!
