Happy opening day for #LLSGPS !

After crazy traveling for the past few days - a wedding out of town and then quickly back to my father‘s retirement party - I was happy to sit on my couch and open this lovely package from @TheAromaofBooks filled with so many fun goodies and sweet scents and two new books to enjoy over my summer break coming up! Thank you so much for swapping with me!

There were so many likeable aspects of this book, and I felt like it was equally driven by the characters and the plot, which I really enjoyed. If you‘re looking for another world to escape into, this book is definitely for you! With an interesting magic system, morally questionable characters, and royal kidnappings, what more could you ask for? This is the type of feel-good fantasy book that I truly adore reading!

This was surprisingly good for a rather generic YA fantasy romance.

Boehme managed to make the characters and their love story believable by letting them both acknowledge that they had known each other only for a short time.

A further plus: it's a standalone that delivers a solid story in under 350 pages.

3/5 Goodreads stars

InquisitiveKristine Thanks for the recommendation! Romance clichés are way too common in YA and it‘s refreshing that there‘s a book with a more realistic/ honest portrayal of relationships ? 4y

Squeezing this ARC into my March TBR before it gets archived

SassenachTheBookWizard This author is very good at writing fantasy stand alone novels with characters and world developed enough in under 400 pages. 4/5⭐ 4y

The Stolen Kingdom follows Maralyn and Alec, one a wine makers daughter with a dangerous secret, the
other the third in line to a throne and unspeakable trove of stolen magic. Everything changes the day
someone throws a sack over Mara's head and whisks her away to unwillingly aid in a coup.
I highly recommend The Stolen Kingdoms to fans of
magic, espionage and low-key enemies to lovers, especially to those who enjoyed The Red Queen or
Ruined.
