Holiday beach reading. My favorite pastime!
Yesterday was a no good rotten very bad day so I took myself to my happy place, the friends of the library bookshop and came home with these.
This is a powerful story about a woman coming of age, and trying to find her place in the world. Her voice is strong, and although I did not always agree with her, she never took any of her decisions lightly. She is thoughtful, kind, but does not need or want to accept handouts, except for maybe some spare change. If you have not picked this one up, it might be worth going back and reading this one.
Started a new book while watching the rain come in and the birds come to the feeder. I probably won't touch it again until next weekend, but it was fun to hold a library book for the first time in a long time! 😍 My mom enjoyed this one and renewed it so I could read it too. I hadn't heard of it, but it's set in SF, and I've been living in Berkeley for 2 years.
Review is up on my blog. This is different but I enjoyed it.

I found the premise interesting but there just wasn't enough plot or resolution at the end for me to be satisfied. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ #arc
