Don‘t get me wrong the book was interesting but it was a little to long

Im not sure what I think.
The story line/plot itself wasn‘t bad but it needed more then it was given. The writing wasn‘t terrible but was definitely not perfect and there was some plot gaps and cringe spots.
Not saying the story wasn‘t bad, if your a fan of We Hunt The Flame give this a try.

This YA fantasy has some gripping bits, but it didn‘t wow me overall. Nanua and Nanua begin with a ridiculous premise—two identical strangers switch places without prepping each other AT ALL—then skew into serious territory for the bulk of the book, then slide back into the ridiculous. The balance is off. They needed to either entwine the modes or commit more fully to one over the other to let me consider their points or revel in the fun parts.
My bookhaul from Bookmans! Bought 2 books I'd never heard of and 2 that have been on my tbr for a while. Also have this weird thing where I am collecting all the evernight books hahahaha and I've never read one! But the plan is to get them all and then binge read them.
This book is basically those movies where everyone is Vanessa Hudgens, but with less logic behind the switch, wildly purple prose, an intent to be Serious (caps necessary), and magic.
Despite the dubious logic and the purple prose (it‘s SO PURPLE, SERIOUSLY), I think I like it.
Also, I finally found and installed a passable front basket yesterday! I think it‘s supposed to be office equipment, but whatevs. It zip tied on. #audiobikeimprovement
A debut fantasy novel about twins and written by twin authors? Count me in! This book had all the adventures and magic that make up a good fantasy novel, but including aspects of Punjabi culture and writing from the perspective of twins make it stand out. Additionally, I really enjoyed the theme of writing your own destiny, but my one criticism is that this concept could have been more uniformly present throughout the entirety of the novel.

But I‘m so irritated with the cover of Fire Keeper‘s Daughter. That‘s NOT a sticker! That‘s actually designed as part of the cover, which IMO is worse than a sticker. 🤬🤬🤬 This is the one problem living overseas and having to always order books.
