Dungeon Crawl Classics Role Playing Game
Dungeon Crawl Classics Role Playing Game | Joseph Goodman

Youre no hero. Youre an adventurer: a reaver, a cutpurse, a heathen-slayer, a tight-lipped warlock guarding long-dead secrets. You seek gold and glory, winning it with sword and spell, caked in the blood and filth of the weak, the dark, the demons, and the vanquished. There are treasures to be won deep underneath, and you shall have them.

I'm at my very first Gen Con (my first convention of any kind, actually) running Dungeon Crawl Classics and having a blast doing it. But I'm also beyond exhausted. One more game to play tonight (Dr. Who RPG hence the shirt) then tomorrow I run my final game of the con.

#SurvivingDecember #WantInspiration

I play a lot of tabletop RPG's. Usually I'm the one running the game and creating the world's and people's that my players interact with. I have a rather large collection of game resource material and these are a few of my favorites. I turn to them when I #needinspiration, be it creating or looking for unique rule sets that will spice up gameplay.

[DELETED] 3803335244 We play D&D on most Sundays as a family. Not today because of work. Love your books! We only have 2! My husband wants to get some maps & characters for our oldest for D&D. 7y
JoeStalksBeck God I love playing DND!! 7y
GrilledCheeseSamurai @ForeverNerdy I remember you saying this on another post of mine! That's really awesome! There's plenty of free maps and character content online. Those D&D books can be pretty dang pricey. 😥 7y

GrilledCheeseSamurai @JoeStalksBeck Yaaaaay! I love meeting new gamers! 👍 7y
ReadingVampire I just got D&D for my husband for Christmas. Someone at the store told me it was difficult to play? I want to learn to play too. Is it really that difficult? 7y
GrilledCheeseSamurai @Puredragonstar it's not. The best advice I can give you is that the rules are meant to be guidelines. They can be changed or broken however you want. The game is all about collaborative storytelling. Don't let rules ruin that. Focus on playing off of one another and doing cool things and making up cool stories together. Roll some dice and see what happens. 👍 7y
ReadingVampire @GrilledCheeseSamurai thanks so much! I had gotten worried I bought four of the books for him. That includes a starter kit. This sounds like a lot of fun and I‘m really into story telling!!! Thanks for the advise I‘ll keep it with me! 7y
JoeStalksBeck I used to play every weekend! My group disbanded😫😫😫 7y
GrilledCheeseSamurai @JoeStalksBeck the hardest part of playing D&D is finding time when everyone can actually get together and play. Adulting. Bah. 7y
Andrea4 Nice! I finally got back into a group -a lot of my friends play, my hubby DMs sometimes, but 1 friend of ours in particular has been DMing for at least a decade! He's run bachelor(ette) and wedding games and recently been asked to run some professional games!! 7y
GrilledCheeseSamurai @Andrea4 Nice. I run games mostly for my friends, however, I have done some campaigns for a local hobby/game store in my city as well. 😊 7y
Andrea4 It's a great way to spend time with friends! 7y

Working on my roleplaying game writing skills with this fun book from the publisher of Dungeon Crawl Classics. Lots of great advice, plus several ready-to-play encounters you can drop into your campaign.

Had an absolute blast this afternoon running a Dungeon Crawl Classics game at my local gaming store! I love this crazy throwback to early D&D with its high body count and 'funky' dice. I might try to get a monthly session going.

Today I went to my regular gaming store to try out a new (to me, anyways) game called Dungeon Crawl Classics. It was a really fun throwback to early era D&D. And like in those old games, most of our characters got killed off. But we all started with four and two of mine made it to the end, so I guess I did okay. Anyway, a good time was had by all and I'd definitely play DCC again.
