This one was really good... actually, I finished this one right around November 10th.

Didn't learn anything more new.

I like how this was about the characters and less about tthe graphic crimes. Although this made more of a crime drama than a mystery.

Want to know if Bonzo survived? I will post as a spoiler in comments 👇.

This is fiction, yet still taking notes to do further research on anything I don't already know about.

Love that I'itoi has been woven into the storyline. We've known about Baboquivari Peak & my ancestors' deity, I'itoi for years. My mom & I wear medallions in honor of our ancestors.

Only 4 chapters in, so far my favorite character is Bozo. Better not get killed off...

This is spectacular.

2 years ago, while researching cryptozoology, I came across a brief reference about Jaguars having once roamed The U.S. This shouldn't have been surprising, yet I was surprised. Since, I have been trying to find the ways different tribes in the states viewed (symbolized) the Jaguar. That hasn't been easy. I've found little to nothing.

Unexpectedly, this leads to an entry that hints how the Apache connect Jaguars to warriors.

AnnCrystal Double checking and more research is still necessary...still, I'm ecstatic.

My mom has me research new cactus plants for our garden.

Came across, Queen Of The Night. Immediately, I became enchanted. While research would've eventually led to origin & symbolism, I currently focused on plant care.

Well, I'm at Vons a few weeks ago & saw this mystery.

The Queen Of The Night held meaning for my maternal ancestral tribe?

Epic!

It might've been some time before I learned about this link if I hadn't ran across this story.

At first, there were so many characters I was wondering how to keep them straight. In the end, they all come together quite well. It was a bit formulaic—if you know Jance, you know what I mean—but that said, I enjoyed the new border control character and his sidekick a lot! I hope there is more of that pair!

Spotted this cute little free library while driving around Fayetteville, AR. There was another unofficial one on University of Arkansas campus in front of architecture building.
