pickI‘ve been fascinated by the Bronte sisters, after reading some of their novels. This book is a very readable biography of the sisters, told in clear prose and included some archived pictures. It captures pretty well the life and times of the Bronte family. However I find it not detailed enough to be deemed as a biography. I‘m not in favour of the author including a summary of each novel written by the sisters in here. It acts as a spoiler. 👇

I visited Haworth for the first time yesterday (I lived within 12 miles for 25 years and now live 250 miles away!) and it was wonderful. Such a quintessential Northern English town with beautiful views and a great museum. I may have got carried away in the gift shop...
