The latest New Mutants series starts off pretty good, then becomes OMG WHAT EVEN IS THIS GLORIOUS FUN as soon as Sunspot decides to step in as narrator. Because this Sunspot, man! You can draw a line straight from FALLEN ANGELS (in which nobody has ever been as aggressively 14 years old as Sunspot) to this adult dude. It‘s an awesome line. It‘s charmingly arrogant and it doesn‘t care about the fourth wall. I had a frickin blast with it. IN SPACE.

xicanti One complaint: every time I see an ad for the MAGNUM P.I. reboot (which maybe isn‘t on anymore? I dunno what‘s happening with TV), I‘m all, “But WHAT does Sunspot think of this?” And y‘all, I think it‘s awfully rude of Hickman not to answer that question here. 4y
xicanti (This isn‘t a serious complaint. Yeah, Sunspot‘s a wordy guy who loves a packed caption box beside another packed caption box or two, but one can‘t expect to learn EVERY thought that flits through his head.) 4y
