Beverly Jenkins always delivers. Great characters, solid story, accurate history brought to life. Spring is a favorite heroine of mine! #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks #Pantone2022 #Daffodil @Clwojick

Changed up my February #BookspinBingo list. With crazy work, I want to lighten it up a bit and include some recent bits and library holds. Bring it on February!
1. I don‘t think I‘ve come across that.
2. Coffee mugs with clever sayings about books.
3. All of Beverly Jenkins series.

After reading Tempest last year, I couldn't wait to read Spring's story and more about Reagan and Colt as well. A part time journalist comes to paradise to interview Colt, but ends up meeting Springs first when he's thrown from his horse during a blizzard. I loved the way their relationship built, and they worked through their assumptions.
Just got to the declaration of the love -- and it was so unexpected and also completely in character -- and I completely shrieked out loud.
As always Beverly Jenkins historical romances are entertaining and educational. We first meet Spring Lee in the book Tempest and I couldn‘t wait to read the story of a fiercely independent rancher living on her own terms in the west. Ms. Bev created a perfectly balanced love interest in Garrett and I enjoyed their story. Please if you haven‘t already pick up a Beverly Jenkins book and enjoy ❤️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The legendary Ms. Bev proved once again why she's the Slayer of Words. Her latest novel is rich in Black history, balanced with action and humor, and shining with compelling characters. I admire how Ms. Bev made Spring an Alpha heroine yet still sympathetic. I could totally hear the author's voice from the snappy dialogue. She also made Garrett a cinnamon roll hero but not soft. Definitely already one of my Top 21 reads of 2021.
