A young Chinese woman arrives in America on the verge of becoming a mother. In a new land with no family other than her husband to help her, she is faced with losing her own dreams and her child as nature and evil threaten her world. When her new friends cannot saver her, she must learn than she will go to any length, including giving up herself and her own dreams to save her child and stop evil from spreading. Set in San Francisco during the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.
