All I Know Now
All I Know Now: Wonderings and Reflections on Growing Up Gracefully | Carrie Hope Fletcher
12 posts | 15 read | 8 to read
The Number 1 Sunday Times BestsellerWe all know that growing up is hard to do, and sometimes the only thing that makes it better are the reassuring words of someone who has walked that bumpy road just a few steps ahead of you and somehow ended up as a fully-functioning adult. Carrie Hope Fletcher is that person. Thanks to her phenomenally popular YouTube videos, Carrie has become an 'honorary big sister' to hundreds of thousands of young people who turn to her for advice, friendship and, most of all, the knowledge that things will get better. Carrie has created a safe and positive space for young people to connect and share their hopes and concerns online, and now she will share her most personal thoughts and experiences in her first book, ALL I KNOW NOW. It includes Carrie's thoughts on some of the topics she's asked about most regularly: bullying, body image, relationships and perhaps the scariest question of all: what does the future hold for me? With warmth, wit and a sprinkling of hard-won wisdom, Carrie will provide the essential tools for growing up gracefully . . . most of the time.

4/5 stars. I started This book years ago when it come out, and when it was applicable to my life. Now it‘s not as applicable, but it still has some good nuggets of knowledge, that everyone can learn from. If you get the option, listen to the Audiobook, the author reads it and it really adds to the authenticity of the book.

I bought this book years ago when it came out, read about 30% and then just stopped. (Not sure if it was just not the mood i was looking for at the time or something else). Yesterday i reopened my Hoopla account and low and behold they have it on audiobook, narrated by Carrie Hope Fletcher. It is so much more interesting listening to the stories, then just reading them. Excited to finally finish it!

This was an excellent memoir and self help book. I really enjoyed learning about Carrie and how relatable she was.

I love little intro things like this.
1: New Jersey, USA
2:how do define recently? Going with Holly Black and it was 2019.
3: huge. I have 265 books marked on Goodreads, and this is not including the ones I don't mark.
4: my bed honestly
5: Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston. It's a loosely based Anastasia retelling set in space. #littenintro @tessavi

Tagged; My edition of the book I have read more of. I had no idea who Carrie Hope Fletcher was beyond her being Eponine on one of my Les Miserables recordings. I love this book so far! I have loved Lin-Manuel Miranda for years. I am reading a tweet a day and the corresponding one that night. I love Retellings, and The Enchanted Sonata seems like such a magical Nutcracker retelling.

Even though this is primarily aimed at teenagers, I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook and felt like I could take away a lot from it anyway.

Kept getting the distinct sense that this book was Not For Me, as it read fairly young. However, it would likely be very helpful for people in their teens.
