Some info is outdated now, but good 101 information overall, and it's definitely funny! Lots of yummy-sounding recipes, too. #glutenfree #celiac
Meal planning ( Crock Pot Paleo/ GF Meatballs) while Audio listening to The Silver Chair. Combined the recipe from the tagged book (right pic) and a sauce from Pinterest- super easy and quick ! Excuse the language of the tagged book- great recipe book and funny stories. 💙in retrospect I would make the meatballs ahead and freeze them, so that it‘s easier to stack them on top of each other when you go to mix them in the crock pot
Okay, I have Celiac Disease and really need things to be gluten free. A nice man at the restaurant said if I call them the morning of my trip that they will make sure the dish I choose is prepared gluten free. I did that, reminded my waiter, even asked that my steak just be seasoned with salt and pepper.
I. Am. So. Sick. Right. Now. I couldn't sleep last night 😫😫😡 This is why I avoid local restaurants that don't have a specific menu. 👎🏻👎🏻
5⭐️- I loved finding a book that rants about the ridiculousness of the (forced) life of a gluten free person, & the plethora of (now) funny experiences I have also experienced. While I used to complain inwardly "this stinks& I want to continue shoving these beautiful baguettes into my mouth" when I was first diagnosed as gluten intolerant, this book is amazing and reassuring. Plus, a ton of great GF recipes I can't wait to try
Working on this book today at the WA Talking Book and Braille Library. It's a sign of an entertaining book when I sneak read paragraphs while audio files are saving. After reading several snippets and the odd paragraph, this appears to be 'not-your-average' health book. The author has a penchant for the salty speech and self-deprecation. If you need to laugh at yourself while getting some gf-lifestyle advice, I would start here.
