I can‘t keep worrying about whether or not I can make you happy. I‘ll try my best but there isn‘t going to be any changing your mind later. Do you understand what I‘m saying? pickI read this the first time in the late 80s, and wanted to read something old school. I chose this particular book after some lengthy periods of scrolling on my bookstore app.
I was surprised to see that the story stood the test of time. I think mostly because the plot wasn't overly complicated. The h was a little naive, pretty typical of heroines of the time. The H is a silent, brooding alpha type with his own backstory.
Worth a shot.
