21 #7. This had moments of being a little too “romancy” for my taste but then, just before it crossed the line, the author reigned it in. All in all a good story that by the end had me captivated.

I really enjoyed this book. It started out a bit slow but quickly became difficult to put down. I loved the two stories that had you in the past and recent present. Although the love interest Kat had in my opinion was a little far fetched and wasn‘t necessary. But overall I loved this book and the reveal it had at the end! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Historical fiction about wwii and flying and fashion.
There is a great background to this story - the unsung female heroines of WWII: women pilots who ferried aircraft around the UK; women who went to occupied France as spies, supporting the Resistance and gathering intelligence. But the story itself was somewhat lacking in credibility. How much of a snob will I sound if I say I found it unsophisticated? It tried hard to be glamorous but only showed a lack of worldliness. #ozfiction #BookspinBingo
Currently reading.
The RAF's resistance to allowing women pilots to ferry aircraft from factories and maintenance units to airbases during WWII reminds me of the ex-military pilots I worked with in the early 90's. They were strongly opposed to women being allowed to pilot fighter jets as the g-forces would cause their uteruses to fall out (I'm serious). Seems to me if the g-forces are that strong, men's bits are more likely to be endangered.
I‘m going in without reading the blurb, because how can Paris ever be wrong?
I really enjoyed this book
