So apparently it's International Mountain Day. New Zealand's mountains are out of this world and being a huge fan of the LOTR movies (and now the books) I loved being in the areas where they filmed. This is where they did some of the scenes for the Battle of Pellenor Fields. I hope everyone gets to NZ. It truly is the real Middle Earth.

Moray_Reads I'm so jealous. One day... 8y
Hooked_on_books New Zealand is stunning. It's tempting to move there in light of the way the US seems to be going. 8y
Alisnazzy @Hooked_on_books I have had that same thought. Over and over again. 8y

This book fuels my desire to book a plane ticket to New Zealand! Gorgeous hardcover with some info about filming but primarily photography. Short bits about the locations (so it's not a travel guide) let the photographs shine and speak for themselves. Delightful.
