David Sedaris makes me laugh, snort, giggle, guffaw, etc. I never would have guessed that book signings could be a source of such amusement. It‘s evidently not about the actual signing of the book, at least for this particular author. It seems like such an artificial encounter, but David Sedaris infuses his with amusing personal interaction. A fun essay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dad and I are both huge Sedaris fans, so we listened to this short while waiting at the vet with a sick doggie.

We both thought this was one of his funnier essays, but it is awkward listening to the “odd rectal items” part with your dad! 😂😂

Henry is feeling better after his shot and resting at home. 💕🐩💕

CaroPi @AppuNthebooks I have listen to several of his books. I enjoyed Calypso but I recommend you to start with earlier works to know more of his bio like "me talk pretty one day" you need to like dark humor. 5y

Megabooks @AppuNthebooks @CaroPi yeah, I think all of his humor is slightly dark. I agree with Me talk pretty and I‘d also recommend Dress your family in corduroy and denim. Calypso is also dark because he touches on his sister Tiffany‘s suicide a lot and there are definitely family dynamics at play that you‘d understand more if you read dress your family first. 5y

Megabooks @Cinfhen thanks! 🐩💖💖 He‘d been vomiting and such so since it went on for two days and I didn‘t like the way his belly palpated, took him in for a no vomiting shot and some oral meds. It was good to spend time with dad too. He and I usually spend time in the mornings too! 😁😁 5y
