I just realised that my current read and my current tv series were set in South Carolina. The book involves spirits and ancestral homes and the series (Sweet Magnolias) involves female friendships in a pretty town. Series is based on a book too.

The second in the series - I'm so glad I didn't find this series until now. The ending left me scrambling to get the next one. Luckily, it's on the shelf at my local library! This book brings our intrepid realtor, Melanie, back in touch with her mother, leading her into another tussle with spirits. So enjoyable and a quick read.
