This book was a hard one to read, dealing with some intense issues but I couldn't put it down!! It was well written and the title couldn't be more perfect!

On chapter three and LOVING this book!!

It was good. Not great, but still worth reading.
I learned a lot about event riding, and the plot never lagged; however, the author allowed the usual convenience of having teenagers behave like wise adults, which interrupted my suspension of disbelief.

Trigger Warning ⚠️ This book deals with incest, child sexual abuse, drug abuse. How do you even review a book like this? Though disturbing, this book does one of the best jobs illustrating the impact of trauma and abuse and the complicated relationship that often exists between abuser and victim. The dissociation Roan experiences, the compartmentalizing, the struggle for control of any portion of her life rings true. Fantastic but tough read.
