Brothers in Arms
Brothers in Arms | Lois McMaster Bujold
If his enemies would just leave him alone, Miles Vorkosigan (alias Admiral Naismith) decided bitterly, the Dendarii Free Mercenary Fleet would collapse all on its own. But his enemies were plotting a more deadly fall. For some unexplained reason the Dendarii payroll is missing and the orders from the Barrayaran Imperial Command are being delayed by Miles's superior, Captain Galeni. What connects the impeccable insufferable Captain Galeni and the Komarran rebel expatriates on Earth anyway? But the most deadly question of all before Miles is more personal: are Miles's two identities, Admiral Naismith of the Dendarii and Lieutenant Lord Vorkosigan of Barrayar, splitting apart along the lines of his divided loyalties? And who is trying to assassinate which version of him? When Miles unravels the answers, then the complications really begin.

#TBRPile 📚 A re-read of the Vorkosigan Saga - one of my favourite sci-fi series - is well overdue

Ruthiella I‘ve never read any Bujold, but want to try! She is a favorite author of one of my favorite booktubers Kalanadi. 😃 4y
Lucy_Anywhere @Ruthiella I love her Vorkosigan books - full of heart and humour! I‘ve not read any of her fantasy books but they are on my TBR 4y
humouress LOVE Vorkosigan! Her Chalion books are equally good. 4y

My third #24in48 book is the next in the Vorkosigan series - I‘m reading them in internal chronological order, rather than publication order. I‘m really enjoying the series so far, it‘s full of super fun space adventuring.

Finished listening to this yesterday. It was really a lot of fun. Seeing Miles a little more grown up and making wise (if surprising) decisions motivated by interesting convictions makes this book not just fun, but enlightening as well.

After hanging out with Cordelia (👍👍), it's back to the Miles chronology. Visiting historic Earth, and knowing Miles, TtF (Trouble to Follow).
