Meet DI Hillary Greene, a police woman fighting to save her career. Not only has she lost her husband, but his actions have put her under investigation for corruption. Then a bashed and broken body is found floating in the Oxford Canal. It looks like the victim fell off a boat, but Hillary is not so sure. Her investigation exposes a dark background to the death. Free From kindle unlimited, this police procedural is set near the Oxford Canal.Seasoned Inspector Hillary Greene is under investigation due to her late husband‘s criminal activities.Simultaneously,she is investigating a the murder of a man found dead,floating in the canal. I enjoyed the protagonist‘s character, but some of the others on the police force almost seemed to be cliches. Not “gripping” for me.
