Despite a promising premise—a Senator asks a trusted friend to help protect his wife if anything suspicious happens to him, which it quickly does—this book rapidly becomes ludicrous, with the main character of a journalist revealing himself to be some sort of James Bond/Jason Bourne cross. Yeah, ok. It feels more like the author‘s teenage dream and the female characters are just badly written. So, buh-bye.
