Mehso-so

I dunno, I knew the storybeats already, so the amount of focus on the schism between Bruce and Dick shouldn't surprise me, but when it comes to origin stories, I prefer the moments focusing on positive growth, rather than looking back to whatever darkness may have spawned the change. Also wasn't prepared for Jason's debut to be featured, which just adds to the darker father-son relationship dynamics. 1/?

Robotswithpersonality 2/? I'm definitely in the 'Bruce-is is-doing-his-best' camp versus the 'I demand absolute obedience from all my child soldiers' characterization camp. Happy to see Dick go back to his circus roots, to have the talk with Superman, but I guess my vision of Grayson is formed by a later iteration of Nightwing; this one feels a bit more brash and callous and it doesn't jibe well with my uniquely cobbled together sense of the character. 2mo
Robotswithpersonality 3/3 Likewise getting doormat vibes from Babs and it's not a good feeling. Hard thing for any one graphic novel artist and writing team to mesh with any one fan's unique composition of Batfam canon. 🤷🏼‍♂️ 2mo
