#creepycovers Holy Moley did I devour these creepy books in middle school. I would definitely be down to reread all of them. I'm not one usually for horror in books or on screen, but her slow-burning psychological trips made for an "Un-put-down-able" experience. #booktober

Zelma As a kid, I wasn't into creepy so I didn't discover Lois Duncan until I was adult. Too bad, because I would have loved her books. 8y
JustTrish Summer of Fear!! That was one of my favorites!! 8y
Reviewsbylola Omg I was literally just thinking about Locked in Time yesterday. Couldn't remember the title or author at the time so thanks for jogging my memory. One of my favorite books when I was younger. 8y

The older I've gotten, the less I liked to be scared, so I tend to stay away from #scarybooks but as a child I LOVED the Goosebumps series and as an adolescent I devoured most of Lois Duncan's books. #somethingforsept

QueenAnne Goosebumps! So good 😍😍😍😍 8y
Litlady Classic! Love me some Lois Duncan. If memory serves, I think she passed away about three months ago. 😔 8y

ReadingRants Lois Duncan is still my go-to for a middle schooler who wants a "scary" book! 8y
Mc_cart_ny I was such a scaredy cat I never read Goosebumps! Nancy Drew was scary enough! 8y
jmtrivera That's exactly how I am too. Not a big fan of being scared, but oh how I loved Stine and Duncan! 8y
DebinHawaii Love Lou's Duncan & I had that copy of Summer of Fear! ❤️📚📚 8y
DebinHawaii Spell check made it Lou's Duncan! Grrr... 😠 8y
LeahBergen I remember that Summer of Fear cover! 😂😂 8y
Zelma I am the same way. My horror tolerance is plummeting the older I get. Even violence is books sticks with me and I can't shake the images. Lois Duncan is a great choice. 8y
acc5446 love this flashback! I too am a big ol 'fraidycat but I adored Lois Duncan (and Christopher Pike!) when I was younger. 8y
