As interesting as the synopsis was, the book was pretty average to read actually. Will definitely creep you out about the technology and the ease it comes with.

This actually terrified me!

Jo is terrorised by a meticulous Home Assistant, Electra. All is well until Electra chills her to her core with one sentence. "I know what you did." Because Jo did something terrible. Events unfold, and the device becomes increasingly menacing and ruins her life. It wants her to die.

But who is behind the device and why?

I am genuinely considering destroying my Alexa, I'm already frightened of it now! ?

This was an electrifying read & pretty scary too when you think about just how much our lives are controlled by our phones, laptops, etc & how easy it would be for someone to use them for nefarious purposes. I haven't got an electronic virtual assistant in my home & now probably never will.

There are plenty of suspects as to who is behind it all & the ending was a surprising one.

If you‘re thinking of buying yourself a virtual assistant, you might think twice after reading this book! It‘s scary stuff, I can tell you! It‘s very much a page turner and gripped me from beginning to end. Described as a psychological thriller, it‘s more like a horror story! If I had a virtual assistant, it would be put in the bin immediately. It‘s thought provoking and makes you wonder at all this quite invasive technology. Excellent.
