I quite enjoyed this fantasy series set in a world where menstruation is effectively banned because women actually become deadly during their ā€time of the monthā€¯.... in this world they turn into panthers. The dark humor and satire they employed to use this premise to poke at the system we find ourselves living in was so clever and timely.

One more series I‘m going to miss now that it is wrapped up!

SamAnne I once had a shoe saleswoman tell me I had ā€ruinedā€ my feet by wearing birkenstocks so often. Yeah, heels twice a year and usually for a costume or weird reason. I prefer shoes I can sprint in if the cause arises. (edited) 5y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @JamieArc I would...it‘s a crazy ride, but I enjoy it. It takes a lot of the issue of policing women‘s bodies to a new level...what if all those hormones, actually made us physically dangerous, how would the world look then. So if you‘ve tried The Power or Bitch Planet and liked them, you‘ll probably like this one too. 5y
