This book was an informative read, but I wish it was longer. Also, I think the title should not have "herbs" in it and instead say something relating to tips or recipes. I enjoyed the skincare recipes with natural ingredients, and also descriptions of types of oils, the benefits of certain botanical extracts, and the resources listed at the end. The downside is some of these ingredients are a little hard to find. Be ambitious and make something!

Scochrane26 My yoga instructor & other people I know make & sell deodorant, soap, lotions, calm balm (like icy-hot), sugar scrubs, & hand soap, so I just buy from them. Shampoo is more difficult to find. I learned how to make soap, but the amount of ingredients makes it too much for one person unless I‘m going to sell it. 5y
AmyRebecca @Scochrane26 Neat! I'm curious how to make the Calm Balm you mentioned - could definitely use some of that. The stuff at the store really dries out my skin! 5y
Scochrane26 @AmyRebecca I can‘t remember what‘s in it besides cbd oil, but I can ask her. 5y

Today I learned how to make a salt scrub. Perfect for dry winter skin on my hands 🧴

For much of the book the author talks about the criticality of "all-natural" beauty products...yet she occasionally uses synthetic fragrance oils??
