I've just started this Audio book...I'm loving it so far, love that it's Australian, with an Australian reading it.
I still haven't reached any emotional parts yet... I'm not feeling happy today, so I don't think I'll listen to any today.

This is the story of how a family survives the loss of their son and brother. Set in a small Australian coastal town I loved the descriptions. A great read if a little long in the middle.

When I decided on my reading challenge for this year I was taking into account the fact that I had a two and a half year old and would have a newborn within the first week or so. I chose 24 books, that was two a month, I thought I might just be able to manage that. Today I finished Breathing Under Water, which is my 50th book for the year. If I'm honest most were audio, but I'm chuffed all the same.

This is a heartbreaking coming of age story that centres around Grace, who is grieving after the loss of her twin. On top of all watching her friends and family crumble around her, Grace turns to a life of partying to fill the void - all whilst in her final year of school.

This book was marketed to fans of John Green - and I'd add that fans of Melina Marchetta would also enjoy this book.

Feeling very emotionally drained after reading this one. It‘s got lovely writing but I also cried the whole way through.

Finished this beautiful book last night which is the latest read for the @dymocksjoondalup #yabookclub. Breathing Underwater is as beautifully written as its cover. I thoroughly enjoyed the hint of Tim Winton in Sophie Hardcastle's writing but loved the Australian female voice. Loved spending time in Grace and Ben's world, which is also our world. #sophiehardcastle #yabooks #aussieauthor

Most were books from a series, 7 from the Shetland series by Ann Cleeves, 6 from the Daisy Dalrymple set by Carola Dunn,5 from Logan McCrae series by Stuart McBride & 3 from the Maisie Dobbs series by Jacqueline Winspear. These 6 are my favourites, The Unquiet Dead was fantastic, can't wait to read more📖👀
