At a fancy hotel dinner, Fly Guy gets into some trouble--and the restaurant's soup! When Buzz and his family have dinner in a fancy hotel's restaurant, Fly Guy isn't allowed in. After searching through the hotel's trash, Fly Guy smells a wonderful aroma coming from the restaurant's kitchen. Fly Guy causes some messy mayhem in the restaurant, and in the end, everyone needs a bath!

#ucflae3414F19 There‘s A Fly Guy In My Soup by Tedd Arnold is a humorous modern fantasy book that students will love. This book is about a fly named Fly Guy who goes on a vacation with his owner and gets into some trouble along the way. This book would be perfect for readers theatre and I think the class would really enjoy acting this book out.

Jewelwinkler The UDL strategy I would use with this book is 8.3 (foster collaboration and community by conducting a readers theatre) and 3.2 (highlight patterns, critical features, big ideas, and relationships) I would have the children answer questions about these text features as an assessment after reading. 5y
Jewelwinkler The ESOL strategy I would use is number 22 (give enough wait time for second language learners to respond to questions) and 34 (de-emphasize speed and emphasize accuracy of work) https://www.scholastic.com/teachers/books/fly-guy-12-there-s-a-fly-guy-in-my-sou... 5y
