Mehso-so

I enjoyed her second book so hunted this one out as I think it won a prize. It‘s her first to be published. I found the descriptions too long, like a film script perhaps . I probably should not have interrupted my reading as I did lose track .

Mehso-so

Usually I‘m easy to please with a phycological thriller and my soso reviews are saved for the chick lit variety. But this book dragged me through it. It was far too long.

Pickpick

I'm torn between rating this as so-so or a pick--it was a decent book, not great, but parts of it were excellent reading. Towards the end it lagged a bit but then picked up in a big way. I guess I'll call it a pick, it's definitely worth a read.

Jerdencon In the middle of this... Keeping my interest so far 9y
KrisConstantReader @Jerdencon I read it pretty quickly, within around a day--I thought it seemed to lag around 3/4 into it, then picked right up again. Let me know what you think of it when you've finished. 9y

Vexingcircumstance I really wish Litsy had a rating between pick and so-so. There are lots of books I don't love but that are better than so-so, which sounds pretty negative. 9y
Jerdencon @KrisConstantReader finished it today... Pretty much agreed with your review. I was a little confused with who did what at one point, but I liked the ending and thought it was overall a good story. 9y
KrisConstantReader @Jerdencon yeah, I thought it was probably better than so-so but nowhere near great. I think it was trying to be like The Secret History, if you haven't read that one, it's a great one. Also Black Chalk, I loved 9y

Last night I think I had 6 tbr books on Netgalley, this morning it's 14, time to hit it! I'm starting with this one.

JenP I love netgalley but there are times when I feel it getting out of control. Nothing like when you have 5 books all due out in the same week and you realize you only have one week to read them all. Good luck to you. 9y
Sue Netgalley is a hole I keep falling into. 9y
