Bill Watterson is the J.D. Salinger of cartoonists, so Martell had his work cut out for him in trying to get an interview with him, a task that he failed to accomplish. Either way, his research is thorough and captivating, and just like Calvin & Hobbes itself, this biography is nothing short of magical.
I skipped over some of the comic history parts but all in all it was an interesting read!
"Calvin and Hobbes is different. It's as timeless as Bach's cantatas, The Count of Monte Cristo and Reece's Peanut Butter Cups."
