I came across this book through a newspaper article mentioning this book under “If you're interested in the topic“. Pets and history? Perfect combination for me!

The author put a huge amount of work into her text. Given her good writing, even laypeople like me can read this book. Walker-Meikle gives us a vital insight in pet-keeping in the medieval times. Actually, it wasn't that different, but I still learned a lot about humans and their pets.

Serendipity at its finest. Here I am, lamenting that I no longer have access to Libby and English-language libraries, trying to use Scribd for its incredibly limited selection. It did not have what I‘ve set out to find, but somehow it has this - and I had no idea it even exists
