so-so
Not my usual genre of book and I didn't dislike it but the main character was whiney and annoying. It had potential and it was worth a read but it didn't stay with me for long
This is a nicely paced dual timeline adventure story which kept me engaged from beginning to end. If I had to choose, I think I preferred the historical timeline to the modern. It seemed well researched. Both stories are entertaining and fit well together. The ending is a little ambiguous so don‘t expect things to be neatly tied off. Instead it gives food for thought. Intriguing, entertaining and engaging.
