I have a new favourite word: flummoxed. I enjoyed this story about a 39 year old with Asperger's and OCD. He schedules his day to the minute, records weather data for each day, is socially awkward, and is easily "flummoxed". He reminds me of Eleanor in Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine and of Don in The Rosie Project. I seek these types of books about odd and eccentric characters because I can relate. This is first in a series of three books.

Edward is a 39 yo man with OCD and Aspergers. He types a lot of "complaint letters", but does not mail them, per his therapist. This book entails his journey

Similar to The Rosie Project. I preferred Rosie, but if you are caught up with those books and are looking for a read-a-like, this one is solid.

After two DNFs in a row, picking up a book club pick. At least I know I'll finish it 😜

By necessity (characterization), redundant, and more than a bit predictable, I still liked it. Quick read. Told in first person, I came to like and cheer for Edward.

Not sure which of us enjoys my days off more. #dogs #readingbuddy Goal: finish one book and start another. Oh, and maybe clean the kitchen. 🤔

Storm rolling in. Feet up and enjoying one from the tbr pile. Liking it so far, although it's hard not to picture Sheldon from Big Bang Theory as Edward.

So far it's reminding me a lot of the Rosie Project... I almost feel like narrator is the same voice. I work with adults/children on autism spectrum and while they have a lot of similarities in their behaviors their personalities are distinctly different. Curious to see where this book goes.

Have to have these done by December 31st for my 2 postal book clubs....just a busy time of year - but have to carve out time for reading! #postalbookclub

Loved loved loved this book! I literally cancelled my whole life while reading it as I just couldn't put it down. This book flows so well and I really felt that I was seeing the world through Edwards eyes so massive credit to the author. This book has left me feeling on a high and I can't wait to read the sequal. Thanks to Helen Boyce at #TBConFB for the recommendation.

I am realizing that without the context, the quotes from this book aren't quite as great... This'll be the last one.

Not sure if the average reader is OCD enough to enjoy this book (and quotes from it) but I ADORED everything about it.
